We are HONEST. - a newly founded collective of young and creative individuals who have come together to pursue a shared vision: an organization built around the promotion, publishing and cultivation of analogue photography.
At the heart of the concept stands HONEST. – a quarterly magazine to provide a platform for up-and-coming photographers dedicated to the most truthful and beautiful technique. As a high-quality paper magazine featuring analogue film photography exclusively, it contrasts the overwhelming amount of digital photography offered on blogs, forums and websites. HONEST. is committed to put a spotlight on new talents, who share our love for the character and soul that only film can deliver.
The idea to found a magazine dedicated to analogue photography came from Luca-Mercedes Stemer, a professional photographer who quickly encouraged her two co-founders Stefanie Neunteufl and Kaveh Tabatabie to join the project. Only three months after the first official team meeting HONEST. Magazine was introduced at the official launch party at New York. The team has grown since then as did the number of supporters of HONEST.
To be honest with you, we need financial support, therefore we started a Crowdfunding Campaign on IndieGoGo.
On June 17th, 2015 we will host the official HONEST. Vienna launch! Thanks to the collaboration with George Leutner (www.georgleutner.com) and the prestigious frame manufacturers of Maison Blanchet Frères (www.maisonblanchetfreres.com), there will also be an outdoor exhibition featuring photographs from Issue Ø!
